When you heard Mr. Tesla for the first time, your mind automatically goes to it’s Elon Musk because we have heard a lot about Elon and Tesla in social media like TikTok, Twitter - now it is called X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and so on and main stream media. But the thing is, Mr. Musk wasn’t the Mr. Tesla, may be now he is but back in 2006 when Tesla was taking shape into automobile market with it’s first car - Roadster, Eberhard - one of Elon Musk’s business partners in Tesla was called Mr. Tesla.
The success of the Roadster introduction also propelled Eberhard into the limelight. He was featured in a BlackBerry ad campaign, appeared on the Today show, and became a regular on the conference-speaker circuit, where he was sought out for his thoughts on the future of the car. Eberhard became the face of Tesla. As a gift for their wedding, his wife bought him a vanity license plate that read: “Mr. Tesla.”
