The great unsolved mystery of all time - NORJAK - Northwest Hijacking

On the afternoon of November 24 1971, a guy in his mid-40s wearing black tie and white shirt, called himself Dan Cooper bought one-way ticket for Seattle - West Coast, US - from Portland, Oregon.

Once the flight took off, he approached to one of the flight attendants with the note indicating, he had a bomb in his suitcase and asked her to sit with him. He opened the suitcase and showed her the bomb and sent a note with her to the Captain of the plane demanding four parachutes and $200,000 in twenty-dollar bills.

When they reached Seattle, Cooper exchanged 36 of passengers with the money and parachute but he took most of the crew with him and asked them to fly to Mexico City. On the way to Mexico, somewhere between Seattle and Reno - the northwest section of the U.S - around 8.00 p.m Cooper jumped out of the back of the plane and vanished in thin air.

FBI investigated the crime for very long time and found no clue of him. In five years of investigation they arrested 800 suspects and left with two dozen and got no where. FBI called this case NORJAK(Northwest Hijacking). It is still a mystery till these days.
